The Farmstead

Weatherhead Hollow is located in Guilford, Vermont where the Sokoki tribe of the Western Abenakis once lived. The Historical Society of Windham County reports that “In 1600 as many as 10,000 western Abenaki inhabited modern day Vermont and New Hampshire, depending on seasonal hunting and fishing, gathering and some agriculture.” Several local organizations are committed to understanding the past and how it relates to where Vermonters live today – learn more from The Atowi Project, and Vermont Abenaki Artists Association.

The Farmhouse at Weatherhead Hollow was built in 1792 when Guilford was considered the largest town in the State of Vermont. The Founders

Daniel Kornguth and Katherine Partington became owners of the farmstead in 2012, and worked closely with the State of Vermont and Town of Guilford to lovingly restore the property through Daniel’s interior design/build business, Plumb Level Square.

Daniel and Katherine designed and built Weatherhead Hollow for artist residencies, country getaways, events and weddings. Their interior design work for the Weatherhead Hollow farmstead was featured in atHOME New England Magazine’s 2024 Winter edition, and the 1792 farmhouse is featured in the book, Create the Style You Crave: The Sweet Spot Guide to Home Decor.

The farmstead’s overnight accommodations have 190+ 5 star reviews on Airbnb for offering exceptional Vermont country getaways. In November 2023, they were awarded the “Guest Favorite” status for being some of the most loved vacation getaways on Airbnb since 2016.
